The hotel's proprietor, Stephen Zimmerman, meticulously restored the mansion's original 7 suites in 1981 and recently added 9 spacious Courtyard Apartments. The interior and grounds of the hotel provide a stylish backdrop for Mr. Zimmerman's extensive collection of art and antiques. In an area of the world where one hotel often resembles the next, La Colombe d'Or provides an entertaining antidote to the familiar "corporate hospitality". The newly constructed Coutryard Apartments are located across a quite residential street from the main hotel. Each has 2 floors.
